VMA Maritime Training Center is Bacolod’s premier STCW training facility — and the only MARINA-accredited maritime training center in all of Negros Island. Whether you need mandatory pre-sea certifications, renewal courses, or convenient online maritime training, VMATC has been serving seafarers from Bacolod City, Negros, Region VI, and Mindanao since 1992. As an ISO 21001:2018-certified institution, we deliver internationally recognized STCW training that meets the strict standards of the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) and the Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) Convention.
Students may also explore VMA’s Marine Transportation program and review Philippine maritime guidance from MARINA.

Established in 1992 by Asian Mari-Tech Development Corporation (AMTDC), VMA Maritime Training Center was built to meet the maritime training requirements of the STCW Convention for seafarers enrolled at VMA Global College’s main campus. Since then, VMATC has grown into the region’s most trusted maritime training provider — earning its initial accreditation from the Maritime Training Council (MTC) in 1993 and later from MARINA.
Today, VMATC serves seafarers from across Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, and the broader Region VI and Mindanao area. Because we are the only maritime training center in Negros Island with ISO 21001:2018 certification, clients — whether individual seafarers, shipping companies, or maritime schools — can be confident that every training program meets the highest quality standards.
