Effects of Simulator-Based Training on the Navigation Skills of Maritime Students

This study examines the effectiveness of simulator-based training in improving the navigation skills of maritime students. It evaluates student performance in route planning, collision avoidance, bridge communication, and emergency response before and after a series of simulator exercises. The findings indicate that regular simulator training can improve practical decision-making, situational awareness, and confidence among future seafarers. The study recommends integrating structured simulation exercises into maritime education programs.
